Pastor Scott Vander Ploeg
Senior Pastor of Sunlight Community Church
Pastor Scott Vander Ploeg grew up in the church but really didn’t make his faith his own until he started reading the Bible. He spent a year as a missionary in Nigeria with his wife Andrea and became pastor of Sunlight after. Now he’s been here since 2004 and has 3 wonderful daughters.
Pastor Aaron Mamuyac
Campus Pastor of Port Saint Lucie
Pastor Aaron Mamuyac has been on staff since 2005. He started here as an intern where he grew his faith and became the Youth Director. His heart to serve has allowed him to continue to blossom to lead him to become our Campus Pastor of our main campus in Port Saint Lucie.
Pastor Jesus Bayona
Elder and Pastor
Pastor Jesus Bayona is a powerhouse individual with unshakable faith in God. A dynamic pastor radiating his energy, his strong leadership empowers others to grow spiritually and personally. Jesus’ commitment and vigor inspire transformation.
Pastor Cory Sullivan
Student Life Pastor
Pastor Cory Sullivan has been the youth director since 2019 and has been involved in the PSL campus since 2009. He is also the husband to Kristi, a father to Dustin, and he is a passionate disciple-maker.
Pastor Jason Palm
Elder and Pastor
Pastor Jason Palm has been involved at the Port Saint Lucie campus since 2008. He is a husband to his wife Carissa, a father to his children Aria and Eli, passionate disciple-maker, and lover of the Gospel.
Shayna Morales
Director of Human Resources and Controller
Shayna Morales is a financial whiz whose unshakable faith in God guides her wisdom. A beacon of helpfulness and kindness, she is ever-willing to support others. Her financial acumen and spiritual strength create an inspiring blend of stewardship and service.
Heather Cohen
Director of Campus Operations
Heather Cohen first came to Sunlight when she was looking for a Christian preschool for her 3 year old son. She loved it so much here, she never left! She has worked for Sunlight since 2008. She is currently the Director of Campus Operations for SCC and SCA where she supports the church and school in whatever they may need.
Seron Brown
Director of Worship
Seron Brown started coming to Sunlight in 2016 where he attended Redeem Young Adults group. He felt so welcomed and a part of the family that he made Sunlight his home church. He eventually became the intern for Worship and he has now served as our Worship Director since 2019.
Jeff Huntley
Director of Care Ministries
Jeff Huntley first came to Sunlight in 2014 and it quickly became home. He’s been involved in Community groups, and he came on staff in 2022 as Care Director to help oversee our care team and community group ministries.
Andrea Vander Ploeg
Director of Children’s Ministry
Andrea Vander Ploeg has been here since 2003 and she was so excited to begin working on a children’s ministry in our church as there were a few kids at the church. Through a lot of hardwork through the years, Andrea currently facilitates our church’s children’s ministry which has over 120 volunteers and approximately 250 kids at Weeknight at Sunlight and about 100 kids on Sunday mornings. She loves teaching kids about the love of Jesus and what it means to live a Jesus life.
Mark Rockwell
Head of Maintenance
Mark is an extraordinary individual, a woodworking virtuoso whose talents know no bounds. His unwavering faith in God fuels boundless energy and kindness, making him not only a master craftsman but also a compassionate helper to all in need. Mark has been on staff since 2021!
Josh Sackrowitz
Head of Information Technology
Josh is a tech-savvy individual with deep faith, embodying a perfect blend of skill and spirituality. His willingness to help knows no bounds, reflecting a heart that’s always ready to serve and uplift, both in the digital realm and within their faith community. Josh has been on staff since 2021 and he serves as our Head of Information Technology, Men’s Groups, and he is also on our prayer team!
