Sunlight Community Church will send year-end contribution statements via e-mail or if we do not have your e-mail, we will send it to your address on file.

Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in using your user name and password to make the necessary changes.

If you have made a mistake entering your contribution or need a refund for any reason within 10 days of entering your contribution, please email us at finance@sunlightcc.org and we will gladly refund your contribution.

Yes. You have the option of either making a one-time gift or setting up a recurring gift. For a one-time gift, you can designate if the gift should be made immediately or you can schedule the gift to come out of your bank account on the date(s) specified by you. Likewise, recurring gifts can be scheduled on the dates that work best for you.

Your contributions will be given from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows time for the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Why we give

Be More Like God.

God is abundantly generous. In fact, He withholds nothing from us. “For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son” (John 3:16). We, on the other hand, are not good at giving generously. If you want to get better at something, you have to practice. For instance, if you want to get better at running or playing a musical instrument, you have to practice. Tithing helps us flex and work out our giving muscles. The regular practice of tithing makes us more like God and more prepared for situations that call upon us to be generous.

Put God First

Tithing is the practice of giving back to God the first ten percent of what He gives you. Often however, if we give at all, we end up giving God the leftovers – whatever remains after we have spent our resources on everything else. But if we give God only the leftovers, what does that say about how we value Him? Once our eyes are opened through salvation to God’s supreme value and worth, it is only fitting that we reorder our priorities and values to reflect our faith. Tithing is a tangible way to put God first in our everyday lives.

Increase My Faith

Faith understands that God supplies all our needs. Often, the main reason we don’t tithe is fear that if we carve out the first ten percent, there will not be enough remaining to cover the rest of our expenses and needs. But tithing is one faith issue where God says, “Test me in this, and see if I don’t pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it” (Mal. 3:10). Frankly, it takes faith to believe what God says in order to take up God’s test. When reality confirms what faith expects, faith naturally grows. In the future we will be more ready to trust other promises of God. Try tithing, and see how your faith grows!

Support God’s Church

When we tithe, we directly support the work of Christ’s church and God’s kingdom. It takes resources to plant churches, reach the lost, and carry out the work of the Gospel. Be blessed by seeing what God can do when an unusual movement of generosity happens here in South Florida!
